Across nearly every aspect of audio production, there is one constant in Keith Chirgwin’s career: Award-winning work. His resume boasts more than two decades of Academy, Emmy, Peabody and Grammy award-winning projects featuring some of the biggest names in film, television and music.
Be it as music editor, music mixer, sound designer, or rerecording mixer, Keith’s clients trust him with their most important projects. His work features such notables as Bridget Fonda, James Earl Jones, Ashley Judd, Michael Rapaport, Lili Taylor, Liev Schrieber, Peter Matthiessen, Glen Close, Ben Affleck, Don Cheadle, and Miguel Ferrer.
He has enhanced the music of prominent musicians, including The Chieftans, Joanie Madden, Cherish the Ladies, Pride Of New York, Paul Winters, The Pernice Brothers, The Apples In Stereo, Boy Sets Fire, and Omar Faruk Tekbilek. He also worked on the Grammy-winning companion CD to the documentary “Irish In America: Long Journey Home.”
His award-winning movie and TV contributions include: “Andy Warhol: A Documentary Film” (Peabody and Prime Time Emmy); “The Blood Of Yingzhou District” (Academy Award); “Eugene O'Neill,” featuring Al Pacino, Liam Neeson and Christopher Plummer (Prime Time Emmy); “9 Innings From Ground Zero" (Emmy for best music); and “New York Episode 8: Center of The World” (Prime Time Emmy).

Keith is actually producing a pilot for a sports based documentary series after years of planning and months of shooting. More coming in the coming weeks and months.
Airing this March will be a live concert event that Keith recorded, and did the music edits as well, for Joanie Madden.
Keith will be editing music for the 2nd season of Barry Levinson's "Copper", a 13 episode series that will air on BBC America.
There is yet another Ric Burns film that will kick off production in the second quater and be in production through most of the fourth quarter.
A Biopic for Director Jeff Sewald is on the calendar for late Spring 2013 as well.

"Death and the Civil War", the soon to be premiered doc is the latest from Ric Burns and is slated to air on September 18th. Website
"Into The Deep: America, Whaling, and the World", a Ric Burn's documentary. Keith was the music editor on this project, which combined the use of electronic sound design with orchestral instruments to create a unique score befitting the topic.
